Hello everyone! I’ve been working on this week’s article for days but it’s not quite finished yet. I had hoped to complete it today but… I just had too much on my plate and I didn’t want to rush it.
However, not to leave you all high and dry… I’m doing a little check-in and also letting you know I had two pieces published on International Living so you can read the article and watch the video for your “moving abroad” fix!

The Weekend
As a self-proclaimed workaholic I’ve long strived for balance but I love working so much, it truly is my happy place! I love writing and creating. Did you know I started my writing journey in 5th grade when a piece I wrote about my Uncle Abe was published in the school newspaper? My favorite part of that story was that Uncle Abe once superglued the Rabbi’s beard to his desk when the Rabbi fell asleep during “Sunday School”. It’s no wonder he was my favorite uncle!
I’m sure you all know, as I often toot my own horn, that I’ve written and published twenty fiction books under a pseudonym. But did you know they’re all about vampires, witches and werewolves? My imagination knows no bounds, it’s how I survived a complicated and difficult childhood.
Yesterday I got to do a little shopping with a good friend. We went to Portugal’s “Home Depot”, called Leroy Merlin (a French Company) where I got my bestie a fan. He’s coming to visit in May and requires a fan to sleep :) We went to Jysk, a Scandinavian Company, for some home goods items my friend needed. Finishing off the day was a much needed stop at an organic grocery here called, Maçaroca, replete with bulk food in beloved bins!
The sun was out, FINALLY and the day just felt right…!!!
Tonight after work I met another friend for dinner at a cool start-up (now chain) restaurant called, Honest Greens, which boasts healthy and scrumptious delights!
In between work today were dog walks and appreciating the SUN, as I had started to seriously doubt its existence…
