Learn How to Live Abroad on a Budget Class – 50% Off Early Bird Special!!
Live Abroad for under $1,000 a month or under $2,000 a month!
Now that “that happened” in the US, I will be working extra diligently to finish this class for everyone! Up until the class is live, I’m offering a 50% discount ($49.99) so grab it while you can!
Have you been dreaming, planning, pining to move abroad? Well, you’re not alone and I can help!
You have your reasons: maybe you’re unhappy in your home country or maybe you’re ready for a change. Maybe you can’t afford to keep living where you are. For me, it was all three. No matter your reason or reasons, each one is valid!
I’ve always been a figurative cheerleader. I’m not the person who will tell you that you can’t do something. I’m the person who will cheer you on, lead you down the path of achievement and empower you along the way.
While the class is mainly focused on becoming an expat/living abroad, I also touch on living as a digital nomad or vanlifer. And with all three, the one constant is: doing it on a budget.
I’ve done all three, and accomplished each one mostly by myself. I didn’t hire a relocation company, though if that’s your route, I support that too. I didn’t have the budget for it. I didn’t have a partner but I did have a dog. So, I learned through sweat and tears plus a few unfortunate accidents that did produce some blood as well. 😬
It’s my goal to help others have a smoother ride than I did. I made a lot of costly mistakes that were also time consuming. But I also conducted a lot of research over the past several years. And if you’ve read any of my other resource heavy articles like language learning or Greece; you’ll know I do my due diligence!
This class is specifically designed to empower you and help you narrow down your options so you can make the best choice for your move.
The focus is to get you on your way by helping you through the first steps. Some of the content is thought provoking and other parts cover actionable steps. It’s a blueprint of exactly what I did in order to get into a van, live as a digital nomad and ultimately move from the US to Portugal.

The modules include:
Module 1: Your Decision (Mindset) which covers your fears, how to manage naysayers in your life, and a deep dive into your dreams of the future.
Module 2: Figuring out where to go. This covers places you can live for under $2,000 a month and other places you for under $1,000 a month. This module also covers the practicalities of what to do with your phone, your bank accounts, wifi/hot spots, how to research visas, and more.
Module 3: Finances and budgeting. While it’s sometimes uncomfortable to look at this piece, it’s important to get a handle on your finances in order to get where you want to go. While I do provide a lot of resources for ways to earn abroad/remotely as well as work/live exchanges, that is not the main focus of this class.
Module 4: Minimizing, which is self-explanatory, but we go in-depth here. I will walk you through the easiest, most painless way to get this done and we’ll look at your options of storage vs. getting rid of it all. I provide you with ways to make all of this easier for you. We cover packing, whether to get that storage unit or not, and discuss options for having your items shipped to your new country.
In each of these modules I delve into the psychology of each topic, a little bit of science, people’s emotions (yours and those around you) as well as all the practical information you’ll need to move forward on the next steps of your adventure.
This class isn’t focused on visas though I do provide resources and help you navigate how to research them. I’m not funneling you to my relocation company. I don’t have one but can provide recommendations if that’s the way you want to go. It’s a stand alone class to help you get off the couch and on your way!
It’s scheduled to release **before the end of the year and I am currently offering a super discounted early bird special which includes lifetime access for the main content and all future modules. There will be at least two more stand-alone modules: vanlife and digital nomading.
**I intended to have the class out this month, but it will be out next month. I’m running a tad behind on the launch for several reasons:
I’m spending more time than I planned creating a lot of downloadable booklets and sheets to help you on your journey.
I had to move my US visit forward from Feb to Nov because of a visa complication.
I decided to attend my first Nomad fest (World Nomads) because it was in Portugal! You can find the article I wrote after attending the event here and the podcast episode here.
And… I got a fourth job! Why Kimberly, why? Because I’m not earning yet, that’s why. So I went back to teaching English as a second language, which will be another post in the future :)
—After the class launches I’ll raise the price, and offer separate tiers. Tier one will be the class only. Tier two includes the class and a one-on-one consultation with me. Tier three will include the one-on-one consultation and 4-6 weeks of weekly (live and recorded) hour long zoom Q&A’s.

All my articles are currently free but if you enjoy my content and want to support me monetarily, I would be over-the-moon if you became a paid subscriber. I dropped the monthly price as low as Substack would let me to $5 a month or there is a year plan for a $10 discount.
Otherwise, you can buy me a coffee below!
Your support (in all ways) is greatly appreciated!
